In part one (55 minutes) the focus is on the fundamentals of music as art, music theory, digital-audio-workstation software, and the technology and the process of learning to create music with software.
This two part series is geared for the true beginner who loves music, is interested in the topic, and wants to consider the possibility of exploring and learning more about it.
If you are interested in electronic music but are not sure where to begin, or how to know if it is something you want to pursue, this video series is for you.
Part two goes into more depth on the specifics of creating original music with digital-audio-workstation software. It includes segments demonstrating how software-based synthesizers work, what a virtual instrument is, and how to compose bass-line, rhythm, melody and soundscape tracks, and use sound effects.
I am totally independent and not paid or sponsored by anyone. In my examples I use Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio but I encourage those new to electronic music to evaluate various digital-audio-workstation alternatives before investing a lot of time in a particular one.
If you liked part one and want to see more I’ll send you the link for part two. Just you email me at [email protected] or if you choose to help support my work, by contributing $5, or whatever amount that you feel the content is worth, to my Paypal account at: https://www.paypal.me/mjohnsonx15
