The Fruitcake is a variation of the famous Cosmopolitan cocktail. This is usually prepared with vodka, but the fruitcake contains bourbon as a base. The fruitcake obviously owes its name to its composition: orange liqueur, lemon juice and cranberry juice - the recipe is similar to the English cake 'Fruitcake' with dried candied fruit.
