This is a tragedy in the BJJ world. A BJJ black belt gets into some kind of confrontation with another motorist and pays the ultimate price. No matter how good you are at grappling, you have virtually no chance to beat someone who a locked and loaded pistol. This is such a good PSA moment. Remember, keep your ego in check. It is not worth it ever to get into a scuffle, even if you're the most legit fighter and move at Bruce Lee speeds. And, even if you'll lose your pride or your social standing, don't take on someone with a weapon, especially if there were ample opportunities to de-escalate. All thoughts go to our BJJ practicioner's family. It takes so many years to get a black belt in BJJ because BJJ is the real deal when it comes to belts and making sure students are qualified to get the belt. So much knowledge and training lost!
