I know my yield sucks but i really think you can get a good yield if you listen to the suggestions in the last video. Mainly using an ice bath for the pot when adding the vodka to the KMnO4. And the next big thing is to elongating the condenser when adding the ethanol and also during reflux. I did not do either of those things this time.. And I believe that is why my yield was so low.....around 50 %..........considering i only purified half of the salt mixture by using anhydrous ethanol.........................PERMANGANIC ACID DOUBLE OXIDATION OF AN ALCOHOL TO AN ALDEHYDE AND THEN A CARBOXYLIC ACID
