Inside an Amazon HR Office
Inside an Amazon HR Office
My co-workers and I were being called names such as “f*gs” “Queers” and other non-sense as well as black employees who talked “white” were being mistreated by a manager at the CMH4 West Jefferson Warehouse, named, Roderick I. [4th floor Pick 3rd Shift]. My co-workers and I continued to be harassed by the named manager. The inventory manager on 3rd shift would even warn new co-workers about the named manager above. Our production screens in our workplace would ask us if we felt safe at the warehouse and even asked us if we would like to resign [even offering us a flat-rate payment to be determined if we resigned. The second in command of the 3rd shift even mentioned that the named manager’s own supervisor was “afraid of him because of his previous background and we have lost a lot of people because of him; it’s always his word against everyone else’s.”
Several coworkers and I were asked to come in an hour early to give info on the continued complaints about the named manager. I asked the HR lady, “Please ask this man to come to my house and talk to me the way he talks to me and my co-workers,” in which the HR lady took as a threat. I threw my badge across the counter to her and proceeded to leave the building. I was approached by an openly gay employee who started screaming at me in front of security [this employee was actually an on duty EMT]. I responded calmly and followed him to the HR office. [Problem = I supposedly was acting in a threatening manner, Reaction = the EMT was attempting to have me have an outburst with him, Solution = demoralization session in the HR office were anything and everything is used against me].
Time Stamps
00:15 Walking to HR Office
00:16 A HR Manager talking about “what other feeling people had left after someone else feelings had been hurt”
00:44 “Katie” from HR [not her real name; real name - Kathryn Kelley - recently transferred to Seattle Amazon].
01:08 Roderick I. “i.e., Rod” Real Name Roderick Ivan Richards
01:15 “Manner in what way?” Used by management to say that something was immediately interpreting something wrong.
01:46 Notice the Nice Approach Technique [known as “Reflection Without Action”] she is using in order to make it look like she is trying to understand my point of view. She had already made up her mind and was just going along with what I was saying.
01:50 Connor threaten me with termination simply because of Pandemic and that I could be “terminated without reason or notice at anytime”
03:03 Katie’s fake concern in her voice - anticipating an outburst.
03:35 Social Distancing Nonsense
03:42 Where Katie begins to explain she has already made up her mind about the situation; interpretation-perception of one person and their behavior - meaning the collaboration of Katie’s working relationship with protecting a dangerous manager. Putting the liability on the employees instead of a dangerous manager that they have to protect.
03:45 Is Katie saying she has been an overbearing manager? Rod is really good at being overbearing as a manager - admission of guilt.
04:36 The human aspect of human miscommunication.
05:55 Katie agreeing that Rod’s behavior was an ongoing issue.
07:00 Not visible on camera, but Katie’s concern is now that I am using academic terminology.
07:08 Jillian is Rod’s supervisor [3rd shift Operations Manager].
09:00 The continued idea of perception over the real threat of Roderick threating other employees is ignored [i.e., perception over reality]
10:00 the HR lady at the counter is scared over someone when she was surrounded by six other male employees on her side of the counter?
10:17 So, Katie, I am supposedly in an arrestable offensive with Loss Prevention or am I the good guy in the situation? Also, Katie mentions that she has contacted Loss Prevention for things lesser than throwing a badge across the counter. [Anything and everything are a crime?] I did not throw the badge at the HR lady.
10:43 “That’s not the way we want to look at it” but that’s the way she is looking at it. “It’s a problem but not a problem?” Same double speak as Rod was using.
10:50 Scripted Dialog
12:19 Some crazy person attacked the GM, whom I rescued from a crazy employee who was found to have multiple felonies and was a temp worker from the Reynoldsburg, OH warehouse working overtime at the West Jefferson, OH location in question.
12:47 Katie’s Entrapment Question - Reaction not Response; they want a reaction.
14:18 Katie’s continued scripted dialog
14:29 Mike Owens, recently transferred out of the CMH4 warehouse to AWS: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mike-owens-b0aa16
14:51 No promise of the situation being resolved. Is this a Hippa violation or a confidential situation where they cannot give information why they have been protecting a dangerous manager?
15:00 Show I can share what happened, but they can’t? Both of us are wrong?
15:55 People attempted to escalate the situation with Rod
