Difference between MMS, bleach and chlorine dioxide
TL:DR
MMS is not bleach until you use it in any biological system or follow the common protocols. In either context it undergoes chemical reactions to produce a bleach.
This topic has been sitting on the list for quite some time following the direct claim that MMS is not bleach. Add in some shill accusations and you nearly hit the conspiracy trifecta. Unfortunately
These claims do not answer the question of what MMS is, if not a bleach, or why it is described as a bleach by government agencies, chemists and industry. This video attempts to do that.
The simplest way to do so is a direct test but that is not an option. The next best option is to figure out what chemical reactions happen when you follow the CD protocol or any other procedure. Fortunately the process can be simplified between online blogs, PubChem and a bit of chemistry knowledge. This makes it straight forward to figure out what could be a reasonably predictable result of mixing MMS and an acid.
Unfortunately MMS can not be sourced or ordered to the local area. It is blocked at either the border the or requires special checks. For this reason only a 10% solution of sodium hypochlorite could be found and this is drastically different to the way MMS behaves with acid. As a result the links to other creators have been provided and parts of third party videos are used to substantiate the claims made (links below and in the video).
In conclusion MMS is not bleach like you would find in a household but is one in the chemical terminology after the chemical reaction occurs between a weak acid and MMS . The moment it comes into contact with organic or inorganic acids it is. This makes the most common methods for using MMS the direct equivalent of using bleach. As a simplified shorthand tot his calling MMS bleach makes sense .
