From April 27, 2019 - April 27, 2020 Paññobhāsa Mahathera and I have made over 100 videos together. Here we reflect upon the past year and the influence Venerable Paññobhāsa is having on Alt-Buddhism. He is virtually the only western senior Buddhist monk of his kind. Even in his Burmese forest tradition he is "the great white hope". Ajahn Punnadhammo told me that we would be surprised how many of his fellow western monks are conservatives who object to the leftists and the leftists within western Buddhism. They just don't talk about this publicly the way that Ven. Paññobhāsa does.

I reveal my motivations for making videos with a senior monk, to speak to the other monks in my tradition through him because I have daddy issues.
