A good look at Richard Corben's first comic book, a historical horror comic called Tales from the Plague about the Black Death or Bubonic Plague that ravaged Europe from the 14th to the 16th centuries.
Originally written and published by Dennis Cunningham in Weirdom Illustrated #13 in 1969, Corben's Tales from the Plague was published as a stand alone comic book in 1971 by Weirdom, then again in 1986 by Eclipse Comics and Bill Leach.
The comic book follows two "manuscripts" found in the Chelmesford area of England, one written by Witch Finder General James Hopkins and the other by the accused witch herself, Anne Ashby.
