In this video, I discuss the latest CPI inflation numbers, as well as alternate methods of calculating the actual rate of inflation.

If we use the government's own previous method of calculating inflation, the actual inflation rate is closer to 15%, which we would expect when the money supply is being grown so rapidly.

Technology is deflationary. This means that the actual rate of inflation is actually higher than the official numbers, since tech productivity boosts help to keep prices down.

The Fed will continue to let inflation run out (and pretend to be surprised), since this is the only way out of our current leveraged mess. Inflation will stay high until debt/GDP normalizes.
