Hi this is Josh dream body clinic. Today we will talk about a patient that was here today. He is 16 years old, loves baseball, but he's just a bit too short. That's a pretty common theme. You'll see some of these kids that are just superstars, but they're just not growing the way that they should. Fortunately, this guy's dad knows what's going on and knows there's a way to help his son grow. That way is human growth hormone. We've helped quite a few patients’ kids with this. Anywhere from the ages of like eight all the way up to 21. Typically for guys your growth plates fuse at the age of 21, so you can grow up to that age. Girls usually around 18.
Now my daughter, she's 15 right now. We started her on growth about a year and a half ago. She only did it really consistently for about a year. She grew up. She must've been about 5’3 when she started she's now at 5’7. We had her on a pretty simple dose of just 0.6 milligrams per day, which is 1.8 IU. She wasn't even that consistent with it. She's now taller than my wife. Before she started she was actually shorter. My wife's about 5’4. My mom was just here actually, last week, and she's 5’6 and my daughter's taller than her now too.
She doesn't really want to get any taller than that but for her, it was just to kind of catch up and feel normal. Here in Mexico people tend to be a bit shorter. However, with sports height is so important.. I'm 6’2, I’ve never had that issue. I naturally produced a lot of growth hormone, it's a huge advantage.
I played tennis with a guy every week who's about 6’4 and he just crushes me. He was actually on the volleyball team for the Olympics for Argentina. He can cover the whole court. You just see this with every single sport. You've got to have the height.
Fortunately again, there's a way to do it. Human growth hormone for kids is super safe. It's actually FDA approved in the U S. The problem is they have this growth curve chart that like, unless you're like legally like a midget, you're just not going to qualify for it or your kid's not going to.
