Pastorale 1943 is a 1978 Dutch drama film directed by Wim Verstappen. Uniquely, it portrays the Dutch resistance as clumsy and failing, while also having some jewish characters that betray the very Dutch people who helped them. The film was selected as the Dutch entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 51st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. The other actor is Frederik de Groot.
NOTE: at 1:20 translation should be "Do you still draw so well?", not "Are you still sad about mother?" (I thought I heard "denk je nog steeds aan moeder" instead of "teken je nog steeds zo mooi")
