University lecture about our future from 2001

Dr. Albert Bartlett lecture in 2001 - Arithmetic, Population and Energy and the exponential function.

This hour long lecture by Dr. Albert Bartlett has been on my mind since 2006. In it, he outlines the human dilemma we would be facing as we move forward. It would not matter who was in power, the decisions would be unpopular and most people fear change. I am all for a humane, coordinated and controlled response to the points the professor brings up. There is opportunity in everything and this is no exception. The earth is currently the only place known to harbour life. There is no where else we could migrate to in the near future. There is no one out there to save us from ourselves. Lets take the best of the past and present to make the best possible future for all. Please note that when he speaks of oil he is referring to conventional oil only, not fracking, oil sands, etc...
