Sierra Fire Burns Close to Rialto, California, Homes

Residents of Rialto, California, watched as a small brush fire erupted and quickly grew to cover nearly 150 acres early in the morning on November 13. Video from Rialto, which lies to the east of Los Angeles, shows the wildfire just outside town with thick smoke blanketing streets. Dubbed the Sierra Fire, the blaze began as a small vegetation fire in Fontana, but threatened to erupt into another massive disaster fed by the warm and seasonal Santa Ana winds.
