During a heated parliamentary session held this afternoon, Serbia's president Aleksandar Vučić expressed his concern (https://www.rts.rs/page/stories/sr/story/9/politika/5109089/skupstina-posebna-sednica-kim-vucic-poslanici-opozicija.html) that Serbia could become a "pariah state" in Europe if it doesn't normalise relations with the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo.

The head of state's comments were met with a hostile reaction from the right-wing opposition, who shouted "treason," "betrayal" and "we won't give up Kosovo" in the chamber. Protesters also gathered outside the National Assembly.

Vučić hit back, calling the rebel lawmakers "thieves and traitors" themselves and blamed certain politicians from the previous administration for "handing away" Kosovo and Metohija in the first place. He made clear that he "hasn't signed anything yet" and will continue negotiations.
