Robot Monster. (1953)

Back in the Good Ol' Days of hosted horror shows on local, late-night TV, our beloved DisCount Dracula would transition from the Giant Monsters of Summer to the Gothic Horrors of Hallowe'en month with cheesy sci-fi horror trash. I'm going to follow suit with one of the trashiest of them all. Featuring a "robot" in the form of a cheap gorilla suit with a diving helmet (possibly a leftover from an old Republic serial). Super-science tech such as a TV antenna and bubble machine. Stock footage from a pile of B-movies, including actual lizards in "dinosaur" drag fighting it out, some stop-action dinosaurs doing likewise... Despite the movie having nothing to do with prehistoric times.

Although this is a legendarily bad flick, it drew around a million bucks at the box office. Which was a considerable profit, as the thing looks like it cost $47.35 to produce.

So fetch your preferred intoxicant and numb your brain for ROBOT MONSTER.

Originally released in 3D. Never can find a decent print in that format though. So you won't need the red/blue cardboard glasses.
