TRICKY MATH PUZZLES WITH ANSWERS (ALGEBRA)
🤔 Given the following diagram, what's the missing number denoted by the question mark?

At first glance, this looks like a simple algebra problem where you treat the fruits like variables and solve the equations to find their values.
Upon closer look we see that there are 2 coconuts in line 3 and 1 coconut in line 4.
And upon even closer inspection, we notice that there are 4 bananas in a banana bunch in lines 2 and 3 while there's 3 bananas in line 4. Very tricky indeed!
With this in mind, let us now create new variables using emojis so we don't get confused while solving this problem.
Each apple is represented by 1 apple emoji.
Each coconut is 1 coconut emoji.
The coconut pair will be 2 times coconut emoji.
The banana bunch with 4 bananas will be 4 times banana emoji,
and finally the banana bunch with 3 bananas will be 3 times banana emoji.
Now the whole equation can now be rewritten as follows:
🍎 + 🍎 + 🍎 = 30
🍎 + 4🍌 + 4🍌 = 18
4🍌 - 2🥥 = 2
🥥 + 🍎+ 3🍌 = ?
And we can finally solve this problem.
Line 1: 🍎 + 🍎 + 🍎 = 30
This becomes 3 apples equals 30, which reduces to 🍎 = 10.
Line 2: 🍎 + 4🍌 + 4🍌 = 18
Substituting the apple and reducing the equation we get 10 + 8🍌 = 18, which ends up with 🍌 = 1
Line 3: 4🍌 - 2🥥 = 2
This gives us 4 - 2🥥 = 2 that boils down to 🥥 = 1
Line 4: 🥥 + 🍎+ 3🍌 = ?
Subbing in coconut, apple and banana, gives us 1 + 10 + 3, which is 14.
The answer is therefore: Question mark is 14!
