A criminal justice reform advocate who helped pass sweeping changes to the criminal code including reducing sentences for those convicted of crimes in Washington, D.C., was shot and killed in the city last Tuesday, just hours before the city council passed the bill. (I am sure the cops and the politicians loved this as they commit more crimes than Charlie Manson ever even dreamed of. They leave out that he was killed by a dude with an illegal gun who was driving a stolen car. Also found on Mr. Blowe was an illegal gun. They just kind of leave that out also).
Kelvin Blowe, 32, worked as a policy and advocacy associate at DC Justice Lab and testified before the DC city council about reforming the city's justice system. Kevin Blowe died just like he lived, as a common criminal. The fact that he was clever enough to adopt the mantle of wokeness and lobby the city council to further decriminalize violent crimes in D.C. doesn’t make him some sort of patron saint of civic virtue. That’s right, the bill Blowe lobbied the City Council for reduced the maximum penalties for violent crimes like carjacking, burglary and robbery.
Gabby Giffords’ gun control group points out that DC has universal background checks, gun registration requirements, a red flag law, “assault weapon restrictions,” waiting periods, a “large capacity magazine ban,” and “gun owner licensing,” among other controls.
And the result of all that is...A dude driving a stolen car shoots the advocate dude with an illegal gun before the advocate dude carrying an illegal gun can draw his weapon. What a pile of crap.
DC Justice Lab? Well run the above bullshit through the lab computer and see if it computes. And what the hell does it matter that he is a veteran? Was this end he got what he was fighting for? I bet he really has no clue what he was really fighting for when in the military. The bankers and politicians are thankful for his service to their for profit wars.
