In start of this new modification series of 2017 Squier Bass VI, I removed pickguard, control plates, and all wiring and pickups, in preparation for complete replacement.
Expert guitar demonstration in background is with factory pickups (which are actually pretty nice), played through DigiTech Metal Master pedal, MXR smartgate, NUX Solid Studio Amp-Cab Sim, NUX Time Core Delay, DigiTech Polara Reverb, recorded into video camera.

I modify guitar because I like to modify guitar. I build guitar because I like to build guitar. Some persons it seems may be "triggered" by expensive components installed to inexpensive guitar. Don't be upset. It is fun. And most of all, young person who wants to buy guitar should not be discourage from inexpensive guitar model, because internet video makes them think this guitar needs new components right from start. They don't. None do. If you want to just play guitar, just open box, and play guitar. It will be great. 😈
