Did the term steering come from trying to control a "steer" (male cow) by grabbing a hold of his horns and thus turning it like you do a modern steering wheel? Food for thought. Oh yes, I stopped it from rotating in script since eventually we'll be making animation frames in different perspectives to simulate rotation.

Hi. My name is Keith AKA Uhfgood.
I've decided to build my dream game which is an epic, comedy, fantasy, 2D, hand-animated, point-and-click graphic adventure. The kicker is, I'm using Blender 2.8 and the Armory3D game engine. That's right, a 2d game in a 3d engine. Of course that's nothing new, however, it's something I haven't really tackled before so it's going to be a real challenge.
Creating a 2d game in a 3d environment has some advantages. You've probably seen some of this if you've watched other videos about developers making games using engines like unity or unreal engine. For me, I can move the characters around in 3D space and do all kinds of cool parallax/perspective effects including multi-plane like camera moves. With regards to backgrounds I can also do one of two methods. I can paint a background and project it onto some partial 3d geometry, or, I can build low-poly fully 3d sets with "hand-painted" textures.
In any case I'm going to log almost the entire process. While I will be limited in any live streaming I can do, I will be recording things in real-time as if I was live streaming, with minimal to no video editing, only breaking out the Blender VSE when necessary. I will eventually be uploading 4 videos a day, at a running time of about 12-15 minutes each. There will be some boring videos and some really fun ones, but in order to be complete I need to log the boring stuff too.
So as Adam the Woo always asks - "Join me, shall you?"
