A taste of Old Time Ice Cutting

Today I experiment with ice cutting like they would have done before the days of refrigeration and modern technology...except I use a chainsaw, but they would have used hand saws or powered saws specifically for this purpose. Of course the Amish still practice ice cutting even today.

I will store up some in the barn to see how long it will last into the warmer months. Maybe I'll add some food as well to see how well it stays preserved.
