Giant tidal waves flooded Manado, Indonesia 20-Jan-2021

Despite the absence of a major earthquake at sea or a huge underwater landslide, a huge 6-meter tidal waves hit Manado, flooding parking lots, shopping malls and destroying small structures, stone embankments and boat docks.
The large tidal waves were caused by a combination of extreme weather conditions such as high waves, strong winds and tidal conditions, officials said.
