St. John's County, St. Augustine, FL... a county and city known for CORRUPTION. Go Jeff!
Across Florida many public agencies are establishing airport level security checkpoints at the entrances to their buildings. Citizens are required to endure these intrusive checkpoints as a condition of access to conduct routine business with their government.
This presents special civil rights problems for citizens who conceal carry into these buildings where it is lawful to do so. Citizens with concealed carry permits are required to announce up front that they are lawfully carrying a weapon and present their Concealed Carry License to security staff.
In turn, Security staff are not authorized to detain the citizen or run the Concealed carry license through a law enforcement database. Security staff are also not authorized to create a database of citizens who lawfully carry. Security staff must inspect the concealed carry license and accept the license at face value.
Recently, I have received tips that the administration with the St. Johns County Florida government are creating and maintaining a list of lawful concealed carry permit holders as well as the type of weapons they carry.
Let’s go investigate these tips
