Adolf Hitler speaks about the war with Poland - 1 Sept 1939 - German with English subtitles

80 years ago today, the German Wehrmacht (Defense Force), consisting of the Luftwaffe (air force), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Heer (army) entered into hostilities with Poland. Thus began the......German-Polish war. Two days later, 3 September, the British and French unnecessarily declared war on Germany, expanding the conflict into a European war. Only after Japan, the USA and the USSR became involved two years later did it turn into a world war.
