As it usually goes, one thing leads to another... When I did the suspension, wheel, and tire upgrade last week, I had to hook up and un-hook the camper multiple times. The trailer had been sitting all winter, and I did not check the water level in the batteries (my bad), so they were extremely low on water and the batteries were dead and would not take a charge. Spoiled by maintenance-free car batteries for all these years. I did some research this week and decided to go with a 4 x 6V true deep cycle golf cart battery system instead of the 12v marine battery setup that was in there. I went with Interstate GC2 / GC-2 batteries from Costco. Great capacity at a great price. They do require some regular maintenance, but for the price, I get a lot of bang for the buck.
