It conditions to believe that instead of using our ‘privilege’ to help others, we should repent for our blessings and instead strive to be like the billions of people unable to read or write, with no clean or running water and waste management, or food. Taboos like cannibalism and drinking human blood are also being normalized and romanticized as part of a cultural reset, whereas they were once conducted for specific reasons like famine, family honor, or sympathetic magic ritual.
