Encouraging new from Missouri - judge says COVID-19 public health orders must be lifted. While this is a ruling from a county judge, it is law in Missouri until an appeal can overturn it.

“A Missouri judge ruled that local health officials can no longer issue COVID-19 safety orders, which he said infringe upon the constitutional separation of powers between branches of government, reported the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

This case is about whether Missouri Public Department of Health and Senior Services can abolish representative government in the creation of public health laws and whether it can authorize a closure of school or assembly based on the unfettered opinion of an unelected official.

This Court Finds It Cannot.

The judgment even states that the separation of powers is “fundamental to the bases of liberty” … “The DHSS regulations break our three branch system of government in ways even a middle school civics would recognize because they place the creation of orders or laws and enforcement of those laws into the hands of an unelected administrative official.

Covid-19 is not a county specific disease. Can COVID-19 know to stop at any county lines and does not travel over?

Missouri local health authorities have grown accustomed to issuing edicts coercing compliance. It is far past time for the unconstitutional conduct to stop.
