Right as I was preparing to leave the wonderful Restaurant at the "River View Guesthouse" (8th Floor) I discovered last minute that there was an even higher level that one can access via a spiral staircase. I will say, I saw some waiters going up that staircase, but maybe it was a restricted area, or something like that. At the end, they invited me to check it out, and in a completely spontaneous move, I decided to enjoy a local brew, "Chang Beer" while I was up there! I don't really drink that often, or beer, for that matter, but this seemed really fitting, also as you can imagine in Bangkok, it was REALLY warm, even up there.
As I said, the atmosphere in both terraces, the upper and the lower one is absolutely fantastic and I do certainly recommend you to check out this place. Out of the most popular Sky-bars in Bangkok, this is definitely the one that offers the most quality for a reasonable price, and the best part, it is not overcrowded like those other ones are. And nice soft music in the background, not loud, bothersome charts blasting while you are trying to enjoy a drink and perhaps a meal.
How to get here?: I believe the best options are either the BTS "Saphan Taksin", there are also buses but it's kinda difficult to understand where they are going and all that. From the BTS you have to walk like 10-15 minutes. Or also you could go with the MRT to "Hua Lamong" and from there, once again, walk about 7-10 minutes. Type "River House Guesthouse" intro G. Maps and it should give you a good breakdown on how to reach, because to be honest, the streets to reach this place are a little bit cryptic and not so well lit.
