There are some people too dependent on their pets, using them as a substitute for human connection. There are others who are neglectful of their pet, not considering its long-term wellbeing. Both contribute to what I call “toxic pet culture.” Today I talk about the four key aspects of toxic pet culture and describe some very important things to consider when adopting a pet.
