The Last Invasion Part II "Connecticut Farms"

In Episode II we discuss the second half of June 7th 1780. The continuence of the march led soley by Knyphausen after British Gen. Stirling is injured.
Knyphausen faces off with Maxwell at Connecticut Farms where a small but disciplined american force holds off the British advance for 3 hours. This until over half of the British 6000 reach the town.
Washington blocks the Hobart Gap with 3000 or so but Maxwell's men hold the first Springfield bridge forcing Knyphausen to halt the advance as his ordered objective would not be attainable. Furthermore, his numberical advantage was lower than expected and several hundred militia were harrasing his flanks.
