Amelia does not believe that consciousness can be transfered like that from a living brain to an AI. But she thinks that somebody megalomaniac enough would like to have a sosias, a pretend-to-be-him robot to carry on his or her agenda (or even them they agenda, you know what I mean). And it may involve making people miserable to prove that they need him, her or zirs to lead them into a gloomy future, because it is not as if emitting tons of carbon dioxide would unleash vast amounts of biomass and make easily accesible areas like the Arctic, Siberia and the Sahara... Perish the thought!
