In different translations, we are told that Peter became afraid of the 'boisterous' wind, but the NIV and others don't use the quantifying term, they simply say he say the wind.
We can't see the wind. We can see the effects the wind has on things around us, but we can't see the actual movement of air.
Are there other things that are invisible that we allow to frighten us?
In today's tumultuous world, it's easy to get caught up in the 'what if' way of thinking. In the end we become of afraid of things that haven't happened and may never happen. During this process, we lose out on the joy of the moment that could be ours.
God told us not to be afraid and to trust Him.
Plan, prepare, but in all things trust. God gives us the ability to think, question, reason, learn.
