Oni II - Innin Densetu (ONI II - 隠忍伝説, Oni II - Undercover Ninja Legend) is a JRPG by Pandora Box. It was published by Banpresto and only released in Japan. It is set in feudal Japan. You play a young man called Takayamaru, who works as an exorcist in Kyoto. He gets summoned to exterminate an oni who has attacked the castle. During the fight with the oni, he learns that a demon called Shuten-Douji (酒呑童子) who, according to legend, ravaged violently in all of Japan is about to be revived. So Takayamaru sets out to prevent the demon's resurrection.
The game is a classical JRPG with top-down view and turn-based combat. Instead of magic as in common fantasy settings, you have got various jutsus. You start the game alone, but you find companions to form a party over the course of the game.
