FORTUNE 100 COMPANIES ALREADY DROPPING VAX MANDATES IN FEAR OF SUPREME COURT DECISION RAMIFICATIONS
General Electric has halted its COVID-19 vaccine-or-testing requirement after the Supreme Court found President Joe Biden’s workplace vaccine-or-test mandate unconstitutional.
GE confirmed its decision to suspend its rules on Friday, according to several news outlets.
In fear of the potentially severe legal ramifications of the Supreme Court rulings that vaccine mandates violate constitutional protections, and other recent court rulings, many health care systems and federal contractors are lifting their requirements.
A growing number of health care systems and other companies, including Amtrak and General Electric, are suspending mandates that require employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Covid vaccination mandate battle continues across the U.S.
In addition to legal pressure from the courts and the fact that it has now been ruled by the supreme court that they are violating individuals rights which opens them up to potential liability issues regarding vaccine injury, Sufficient staffing has been hard to maintain in hospitals, which were already contending with a dearth of nurses and other workers before the pandemic. Cleveland Clinic, which has 19 hospitals, was among the health care systems that announced that it would halt its vaccination policy.
Disney World halts Covid vaccination mandate recently.
HCA Healthcare Inc., which has 183 hospitals in 20 states, made the same decision.
Amtrak also announced that it is suspending its employee mandate after the nationwide injunction was issued. General Electric did the same. The reversal enables Amtrak to run normally next month, instead of cutting service, as it had projected, the rail service said.
Meanwhile, many other companies are continueing to ignore the constitutional rights of their employees ignoring our Supreme Court and the Supreme Law of the Land at their own peril, they are endagering the lives of their employees by requiring them to take emergency use authorized experimental vaccines with unknown side effects that are not FDA approved for general use.
Among them: Southwest Airlines, which said it is monitoring the lawsuits but still requires employees to be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4, the company’s original deadline. Defense contractor Raytheon Technologies is also keeping its policy, The Wall Street Journal reported.
