Labor Day saw the 30th anniversary of Nike's "Just Do It" motivational campaign. To celebrate the achievement Nike announced that the new face of their campaign would be none other than former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Unfortunately for Nike their once-loyal customers did not appreciate the new choice of spokesperson for the "Just Do It" campaign. The backlash on social media, and the stock market, was swift and painful.
