The condition isn’t contagious, and oftentimes, symptoms can come and go depending on how stressed and run-down you feel, whether or not you’ve been spending lots of time in the sun, and if your diet is triggering any autoimmune reactions. It doesn’t necessarily get worse over time and for many people can stay relatively constant for many years if necessary steps to resolve symptoms aren’t taken.
Rosacea Signs and Symptoms: Most people equate rosacea with having a red, “flushed” face, but for most people the symptoms go beyond this. Depending on the type of rosacea, people might experience symptoms including: Redness in the face, especially toward the center in the cheeks and nose “Spider veins,” which are visible broken blood vessels Swelling and painful skin Sensitive skin that easily reacts to the sun, skin care products, feeling hot or sweating Stinging and burning in the skin Dry, rough, itchy or scaling skin Easily blushing when embarrassed Acne-like breakouts and overly oily skin Large, visible and inflamed pores Raised patches of skin called plaques Bumpy texture to the skin Parts of the skin that thicken, especially common around the nose (but also can appear on the chin, forehead, cheeks and ears) Sensitivity of skin around the eyes, including watery or bloodshot appearance, redness, dryness, stinging, itching, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, cysts, and pain.
There are MANY types and symptoms of Rosacea, such as listed here; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosacea

MY THEORY is that it's a 'bacteria' (or similar - MAYBE a Virus?) that lives dormant under the skin, between the dermis and epidermis, and THAT'S why (again, MY THEORY) BOTH work, but lugols obviously more potent and or able to penetrate better to kill it...It may well be, that an iodine deficiency could be the reason rosacea re-occurs.
* I simply added ONE DROPPER FULL of FULL STRENGTH (See below!) LUGOLS IODINE into a large bottle of water (shown) and splashed it onto my face (or your affected area) a few times per day. My Rosacea has NEVER RETURNED SINCE!
** Make SURE it's FULL STRENGTH, as it's now being diluted by big pharma companies (who often own health shops) so its less effective & people return to pharmaceutical DRUGS instead;
The CORRECT FULL STRENGTH RATIO IS:
5% USP (USP) grade Iodine + 10% USP grade Potassium Iodide.
DO NOT buy anything with less than this ratio, as it is DILUTED & NOT LUGOL'S IODINE.
You WILL NOT normally find FULL STRENGTH Lugols Iodine in a pharmacy / Drug store / Chemist anymore.

About 16 million people in the USA alone, have this chronic skin condition. However, only a small percentage of them are treated, one reason being that most of them don't even know they have it. That's because the signs and symptoms of rosacea are not life-threatening and may even appear as a simple rash or pimple breakout. Here's how to get rid of rosacea naturally.Rosacea is a frustrating chronic skin condition affecting the face. It is most commonly diagnosed between the ages of 30 and 50. However, it can be diagnosed in teenagers and the elderly. It relapses and remits and is characterised by its symmetrical appearance on the convex surfaces of the face, such as the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. Commonly it presents as facial flushing, telangiectasias, papules and pustules. In the severe late stage patients may develop chronic facial lymphedema and rhinophyma. Blepharitis, conjunctivitis and keratitis are common associations. Rosacea is made worse by corticosteroids!
AVOIDANCE
Photoprotection can have a dramatic effect on the symptoms of Rosacea for most cases, but maintenance is difficult. A broad spectrum sunscreen combined with physical protection is recommended. Avoidance of alcohol and hot or spicy foods may be of benefit for some. Oily or irritating topical preparations should be avoided.
Granuloma is an inflammation found in many diseases. It is a collection of immune cells known as histiocytes (macrophages) Granulomas form when the immune system attempts to wall off substances it perceives as foreign but is unable to eliminate. Such substances include infectious organisms including bacteria and fungi, as well as other materials such as keratin and suture fragments.
