UK Column News asks how it is that the Church Commissioners have billions of pounds to invest while congregations are being asset-stripped and hold the liability for their ramshackle buildings and the stipends of their own clergy. Why is the Church of England’s central money pot being used to fund the dioceses but not the parishes or the poor?
