HOW TO MAKE PURE CALCIUM CARBONATE...........WE TAKE CaCl2 FROM "DAMP RID" AND ADD NaOH to precipitate the Ca(OH)2 out and then wash the hydroxide many times with water. This promotes the decomposition of the Ca(OH)2 in to CaCO3 which we can dry out in the oven................I plan to do a calcination on the CaCO3 to make CaO.......KEEP IN MIND THAT WHEN I MAKE A CARBONATE IT ENDS UP SITTING THERE IN WATER FOR WEEKS OR SOMETIMES MONTHS. So i do not bubble CO2 in to the water. But if you are doing this quick then you should probably bubble some CO2 into the water even if you just breath some in to the water with a straw and blowing threw the straw
