Working out is important, but using wireless headphones can endanger your long-term health and wellbeing.

If you're smart you should be working out regularly. Not only does working out regularly increase your health, but it also makes you smarter. Research has shown that exercise increases the grey matter in the brain.
Going to the gym, however, comes at a cost. The music played at gyms is disruptive to the brain and the mind. Both rap and rock music are harmful to one's emotional and spiritual wellbeing. It has a negative effect on your soul, your thoughts, and your moods.
As a result, you must play your own music. I only listen to peaceful trance music at the gym. Trance without beats or heavy bass. You might think you need high energy music, but I've proven this wrong with huge gains at the gym, with relaxing music. Emotional and spiritual damage is not the only danger to listening to rock and rap music. Ear buds can be annoying, so you may be tempted to use wireless headphones. Bluetooth ear buds are all the rage these days, as it's one more convenience - but at the potential risk of your long-term health.

In summary, suck it up. You don't go to the gym or work out for convenience, so use the same thought process to suck it up. Sure, your headphones have a cable, but face it, if you put it under your shirt as I always do, it rarely gets in the way at all. And I only use $10 skullcandy headphones, they only last a year or 2, but heay, they only cost $10 and I can have a few backup pairs. Don't get wireless earphones! It's not worth the risk.
