Uniquely among world leaders, Boris Johnson and Donald Trump have suffered COVID-19. Although, as Cassandra points out, it was Boris who seemed to have "suffered" from COVID. From the two of them, he is the one who was in intensive care and apparently at risk, while Donald Trump has apparently waltzed through his weekend in hospital. This is in spite of the age difference, which would make one think that Trump should have been the one with trouble from the flu (yes, COVID-19 is still a flu).

Is his shocking experience affecting his views on the disease and causing him to be obsessed with going into yet another lockdown?

Cassandra remembers having read about French admiarl Villeneuve, who forevermore carried with him the trauma of his experience of defeat at the naval battle of Aboukir. It would seem that Mr Johnson has the same trouble: a case of PTSD.
