In this first of four videos (plus a bonus video) in my DIY canvas series, I show you how to make an interesting painting surface from common pieces of cardboard. In this video we use gesso. You can watch or follow along with me. Here are the items you will need: a piece of cardboard, some professional grade gesso (thicker type), and a putty knife, or business card, or some other piece of carboard to spread the gesso with.
