Officer Balonek directing traffic when the shooting began stated he saw a figure near the top floors of the Mandalay Bay hotel who appeared to be standing on a shooting platform and approximately 4 to 8 feet back from the window. Simultaneously, over a hundred concert attendees began to flood put the rear exit near the stage.
