Original forms of the Klan did not resemble the type of all-encompassing, pan-European White advocacy that we mostly see today. Instead, it was highly divisive and shunned other Whites who were Catholic, National Socialist or sympathetic to 1930's Germany at all. In some cases, even Italians and Irish were not welcome.
The "New Klan" of the 70's attempted to shift their focus in a different direction—a more realistic, pragmatic and more inclusive one. Individuals like Tom Metzger and StormFront's Don Black would help make this push, although nobody can be credited for positively shaping the KKK as much as the honorable Dr. David Duke. Duke, a Catholic himself (and godfather of the previously mentioned Don Black's son), worked to eliminate animus towards Catholicism in the Klan, while becoming more friendly towards the ideas of Hitler and National Socialism. He would also help to inform those in the White-positive sphere regarding the truth about the Holocaust.
Most importantly of all, the New Klan would no longer spend all of it's time and energy drumming up resentment towards black people. Instead, they would shift their focus to another racial group that the KKK previously harboured little interest in: The Jews. David Duke, as racially informed as you could get, was well aware of the enormous amount of black crime destroying White America. But he also realized that they were a low-hanging fruit, and their strings were being pulled by someone else. Duke would correctly point out that if bitten by a dog, the responsibility lies not only on the dog, but the boss or owner who gave orders to attack. And so thanks to Duke, the KKK—or at least certain factions of it—would eventually begin teaching how Jews not only used propaganda that coerced non-Whites to engage in anti-Whitism, but for Whites themselves to engage in self-hatred.
And this documentary by Eleanor Bingham and Leslie Shatz showcases the dramatic rise of the new Klan in the 70's. Despite being a blatant hit-piece, it comes off as near-complimentary compared to reports by even the most neutral of sources in the occupied media of today. This is an incredibly rare and digitally enhanced version of 'The New Klan'.
By the time the film was made, Duke had already made dozens of TV appearances and had gained almost celebrity level notoriety, despite how disliked he was by some. In his book 'My Awakening', he described how during one TV appearance, a White woman stood up in the crowd, ran her fingers through her black boyfriend's nappy hair, kissed him, then taunted "What are you gonna' do about it?" Unfazed, David simply smiled and ignored the woman. Instead, he turned to the man and stated "Sir, I feel sorry that a stand-up black gentleman like yourself is stuck with this piece of White trash."
Nowadays, the KKK is highly fed-infiltrated and mainly a thing of the past. Don Black, Dr. Duke and Tom Metzger would all eventually leave the Klan behind in favor of a more modern and modest approach. Despite this, David still says of his time in the Klan, that they would rarely wear robes and instead opted for a more professional suit and tie.
