Fun on the Way to Bidborough in Kent

I am on my way to Bidborough, a small village in Kent near Tonbridge. It is situated on a high ridge overlooking both the Kent and Sussex weald.

I am joined today my Nigel Sadler, local heritage explorer, and we start our walk to Bidborough a mile and a half south at a tiny hamlet called Modesty Corner.

Before we get there much excites us; the threat of long horn cows, the mass of roots of a giant yew tree and a multitude of paths in which to get lost.
