"What is America's Biggest Weakness?" - Unrestricted War part 2

Here's part 2 of my narration of Unrestricted War by Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui -- Published in 1999 it lays out the path forward for China to topple the American Superpower. I read the chapter and insert some of my own asides/interpretations. Timestamps in comments...

Last time we read the preface and "Part 1: On New Warfare" (https://www.bitchute.com/video/4rJDjxaqiiMc/) which laid some of the groundwork for their coming thesis -- introducing the idea that the modern age belongs to no single "technology" or area of science and that subjects are vastly more integrated than anyone seems to suppose. They also posited that America (and humanity in general) has become less interested in the pursuit of Science itself, and more enamored with the development of ever-changing technological toys, "losing our Heart" in the process. They also inserted the idea that lone wolf terr0rists have redefined the modern warfare landscape and that a terr0rist can be someone that forces an artifical financial crash (using George Sor0s by name), a computer hacker creating a virus, a small religious extremist cell, and other types of "non-kinetic" forms of 'violence' as we classically think of the term.

In part 2 (officially, Chapter 1: The Weapons Revolution Which Invariably Comes First), they develop the idea further and begin to really setup their thesis -- that war is changing and the advantage is to the one who can broaden their "concept" of war, rather than be obsessed with the "technology" of war (what they assert is the biggest weakness of America). They explain how throughout history it has always been the evolution of weapons that changes the tactics of war (from bows and arrows to hard steel, to gunpowder and explosives, to modern computer integrated avionics) but how it is a mistake to think that when a nation shapes it's tactics due to a difference in weapon technology, that they are somehow in the "inferior position" (as in the case with Mogadishu in the 90s when America wasn't ready for hostile citizen mobs or insurgent attacks from within the city)...but assert with historic examples how "low tech" asymmetric war can stump the modern techno-juggernaut and how this trend ("the weapons shaping the tactics" and, "the tactics shaping the weapons") is really more of a push-pull relationship based on context.

They conclude the chapter by outlining how reaching the peak of destruction in weapons (the atom bomb) has caused a reversal of course towards a pursuit of "kinder" weapons and warfare -- People no longer want mass killing of human or ecological life -- but that war is still nonetheless the same in meta-objective (to conquer or defeat the other nation), even if it is no longer through brute devastation or annihilation. They also lay out the chilling potential of "new concept weapons" such as artificial natural disasters, media scandals and slandering of leadership, or psychological demoralization campaigns that lay the events of the last 2 decades in stark question. They insist the victor will be the one that can "broaden their mind" first and actualize these potential modes of "unrestricted warfare".
