The Conflict Between Kyrgyzstan & Tajikistan Turns Into a War | Turkey Involved?
🔥The Tajik side burned and destroyed houses made of SIP panels in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, built by the Government of Turkey.
Then 140 houses were completely destroyed in Leilek and Batken regions. All of them were restored by the Government of Turkey.
Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. According to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security, at about 6 a.m. the Tajik side started firing at the border detachments and positions of the Kyrgyz side. Later, the Tajik side began mortar shelling of border outposts and border villages in Leilek and Batken districts. At least 42 people were wounded. Shooting continues for the third day. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts left their homes.
According to Tajikistan's SCNS, Kyrgyzstan is using military helicopters and combat drones to attack citizens' homes and civilian facilities in Tajikistan, and is moving additional forces and equipment from the center of Kyrgyzstan's Batken district to Tajikistan's border regions.
Large-scale fighting on the Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border began Friday morning. The sides accused each other of shelling. Later, the Kyrgyz border service reported that the heads of special services of the two countries agreed to a cease-fire. Later in the evening, the Kyrgyz border guard service said that the ceasefire was violated by the Tajik military.
