Castle Morihisa - Playthrough Part 1

Castle Morihisa is a rogue-like deck builder game, where you have to fight enemies in turn-based battles to progress. The game has a Japanese theme and from the available heroes I picked the Ninja. The combat functions as follows - you have your turn where you can play different cards corresponding to actions and then all the enemies take a turn. You can see what they are about to do above their heads, so you have to plan accordingly. You have a limited amount of action points and each card costs some. The cards you can play are Attack, Defence, Skill and Item and Tactic. Attack is self-explanatory, Defence cards usually give you armour, which lasts until the next turn and the rest are a bit more varied in their effects. Tactic cards usually give you a passive effect for the entie combat. Whenever you play 3 cards of the same type you gain a mantra sign. When you have 9 of those you can activate a Genjustu and receive one of 3 powerful skill cards. As you progress you earn gold and skill points. You can use the former to buy new cards between battles and the latter to unlock new perks which fit your play style. The game is challenging, but enjoyable and you have to learn its systems and strategise if you are to survive.
