Rupert Sheldrake - The Science Delusion

In this Ted Talk, Rupert Sheldrake makes the increasingly unpopular point that science has become the new religion. Over and over again, the human race has assumed that everything is now known - that soon science will simply be improvements in accuracy. The most obvious example of this simply being untrue is Newton, who gave way to Einstein who gave way to Planck and other Quantum Physicists.

Whilst none of these theories should be discounted (they're very useful, each in their own place) - we are becoming uncomfortably close to science being dogmatic.

With recent admissions by scientists of all disciplines in many different respected publications that new theories are, at best, not repeatable and, at worst, fraud, I thought it was time to remind myself of this video.
