Jesus Christ is the True Vine. According to John 1:1-14, he is the word made flesh. In order to bear fruit, you must be abiding in Christ. Since modern perversions like the NKJV or ESV are not God's word, its impossible for them to bring forth fruit. Additionally, unsaved people, even if they have the right bible version, cannot get anyone saved because they are not abiding in Christ
