Escaping the cold geo-engineered weather on the mainland I found a sunny beach at the sea, with 5 happy people, that decided to come and join dancing together.
As usual the people passing by, showed us their admiration, hopefully building confidence to join in next time.
Why tango?
Because it’s our education system of (dance) lessons that teaches us to dance to the tune of those in power if we dutifully follow their directions.
Higher education teaches to adopt and pass on instructions, based on information from (government) approved sources.
Lower education teaches to follow instructions, based on information from (government) approved sources.
Both learn to take responsibility for only that which can be transferred to the commanding source.
Nobody needs to know where these sources base their knowledge on.
This is probably the reason that people who have always resisted authority and hierarchy, already know how this system works.
This seems like a unique moment in history to see, how easily the rest of humanity can voluntarily surrender itself to the power of a handful of executors of this system.
However, if we start dancing tango, we not only fulfill our need for social contact and movement, but we also immediately free ourselves from the rules, instructions and other demands that we are used to, developing our independent thinking and consciousness.
Although also tango has been controlled with rules and traditions, tango nuevo in particular, is the only dance that allows you to form 1 body on 4 legs on an equal level.
Not by walking steps together, but because one of us makes the body movement of the other, move her legs while we both take charge in our own task.
1 takes responsibility for connection and transfer of movement, while the other takes responsibility for creating this movement, in harmony with the partner, the music and the other dancers.
Everyone can invite each other and no one has to wait for an official arrangement.
By simply moving to music that way, we develop our own style, learning from each other, which role suits us best, while a vocabulary of movements with which we can communicate, will arise.
If you move in order to make a step and I let your upper-body movement, move my upper-body, your upper-body will move my leg as well.
If you learn to use your upper-body movement, to move my leg into a step, we can literally form 1 body on 4 legs, if I provide you with the connection needed for that.
Of course that can also be done the other way around if I lead you.
This way we can dance with each other right from the start.

We gather with up to 6 people in public places all over the Netherlands in order to form small communities that will practice independently and eventually visit each other to practice together with more people.
