Delegitimizing the experts - Part One - The argument

One of the most famous quotes by Dr. Thomas Sowell goes like this: "It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."

And yet this is exactly what we permitted to the so-called medical profession - and particularly the so-called public health - for the last 103-104 years.

I wasn't always like that. Before 1918, there were far more checks and balances on these things. It is, indeed, a very recent phenomenon that society allows "experts" to essentially experiment on large groups of people and then pay no penalty for being wrong.

There are few reasons for this. But the most important reason for why this is possible is because far too many plebs have awarded legitimacy to these charlatans for far too long.

A shift in mentality is needed. "Experts" and Science™ and "expert medical advice" is, fundamentally speaking, illegitimate. And the faster more people recognize this, the faster our civilization moves into a better direction.
